Aminoglycoside antibiotic with reserve status. Topical use is limited to a few days and only after strict assessment of the indication and in the absence of a therapeutic alternative. Compound class: cationic. Route of administration: dermal: 100,000 IU/100 g (0.15-0.2%), ophthalmic: 0.3%, parenteral: 2 mg/kg body weight/day. Formulable pH value: 4.5-8 (reduced activity at pH < 6)
